The Estuary Trust awarded a scholarship to Rowan Templeton to conduct a baseline report of invertebrates in both Mugford Reserve and Sth New Brighton Park.

Results are utilised to assess how the restoration projects are going ie are we planting the right trees? Do we need to maintain long grass areas? Are invertebrates returning to these restored areas? What do species are here and as a result of the report the Trust, together with the City Council Parks division ranger we can plan on what and where we can plant in the next few years to encourage suitable habitat.
